Badhon Manob Unnayan Sangstha(BMUS) is trying to increase improved access to human rights through social mobilization and awareness, participation and empowerment to the targeted people in the south-west region in Bagerhat district of Bangladesh since June’ 2001. This organisation began its work with underprivileged population and since then working on issues like health & hygiene, non-formal primary education, human rights, child rights, good governance, domestic violence, ecological agriculture, natural disaster, HIV/AIDS Social Audit on VGD program, Anti-Corruption Campaign and gender mainstreaming. Now we are trying to establish basic human rights, encourage youth leadership, governance and climate friend livelihoods with 30 school based science clubs and 80 local youth clubs and 2500 local youth volunteers. For marginalize farmer, person with disability, women, adolescent and young people. BMUS also working with the network of Campaign for good governance, Democratic budget movement, Food security, Gender and water alliance and established a Community action network for tax justice.
